Congratulations to Senior Erika Schwaner, bassist and Junior Mae-Ling Kao, cellist, for being selected as performers in the New Mexico Music Educators Symphonic Orchestra! And congratulations to Sophomore Reagan Robnett, cellist for being selected as a performer in the New Mexico Music Educators Concert Orchestra! These outstanding players were selected from hundreds of high school string players throughout the state of New Mexico and are headed to the All State Conference held at UNM in January! Way to go HAWKS!

ATHLETICS:
THE VOLLEYBALL TEAM will have a playoff match for the District Championship on Tuesday against Cibola. The game will be at 7pm at Cleveland High School.
GIRLS SOCCER defeated Clovis on Friday and moves into the second round of the state tournament. They will play ON Thursday at 1:00 at the soccer complex
GIRLS & BOYS BASKETBALL tryouts will be November 2-4. Girls' tryouts will be after school 2:45-4:30pm. Any girl interested needs to see Coach Villareal in F202 or Coach Dominguez in E104. Boys' tryouts will be 6-8pm. Any interested boy needs to see Coach Greg Brown or Coach Cuevas in A114.
GIRLS TENNIS: Attention all girls interested in going out for tennis in the Spring: Pre-season hitting days will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in November and December. This is your chance to get ready for the season. Beginning players can be on the Junior Varsity team; no one will be cut. The first hitting session will be held Thursday, Nov. 5 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Sierra Vista. A current sports physical is required to participate.
