Attention all students: Lunch will be served in E and F halls for the remainder of the year. The A-hall servery will be closed.

 

SENIORS: Your senior t-shirt is on sale for $10.00. The senior picnic will be tomorrow from 6-8 outside on the soccer field; your t-shirt is your ticket. 


There will be a senior class meeting in D215 at lunch tomorrow.


YEARBOOKS: We will not be sold today. Books will be $75 on the 27th for seniors only. Seniors may be purchase at the senior picnic. Seniors will get their books on Wednesday April 27th at the Senior Picnic.

Underclassmen will get their books on the 28th at lunch. If you have pre-purchased your book you may pick it up at the bookroom window. If you plan to purchase a book for $75 you may buy it during lunch on Wednesday in the activities office. Students are welcome to stay at school Thursday afternoon to sign each other's yearbooks. Please remember that the busses will run on their regular schedule

 

OPEN MIC NIGHT: Friday night is getting close, have you signed up for Open Mic Night yet?  This Friday, April 29 will be the last Open Mic Night for this school year.  Poets and Musicians should sign up and pay your $1 performance fee by the end of school Thursday.  Sign up sheets are outside H219 (Mrs. Rizzardi's Room).  Open Night will be from 6 - 9 Friday night in the Black Box.

   

Seniors:   Check the Fines lists posted outside the bookroom and pay your fines to Ms. Brown in the Bookroom. Cafeteria Fines should be paid to the Cafeteria Manager.  All Fines must be paid before Cap & Gown Distribution on Monday, May 9th.


WINGSQUAD will be having our Annual Banquet on Thursday April 28th at 12:15 in H107. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend to celebrate and share a meal together.


Attention staff and students, administrators and or teachers will be coming around or handing out this week during 5th period to recognize students that received a 3.5 GPA or higher for the 5th 6week grading period.   Over 500 students are receiving this recognition, which is more than a 20% of the school.  Congratulations to all those that have worked so hard in the classroom.  We encourage you to keep up the good work and push hard to end the spring semester on a positive note academically.


COUNSELING:

  • APS Summer School Learning Program is primarily for students who are seeking credit recovery.  To enroll, please contact your Volcano Vista High School counselor for more information.

ATHLETICS:

  • BASEBALL: has a game today against Santa Fe at 4

  • SOFTBALL: has a game tomorrow at 3 in Santa Fe
