It's illegal to pump your own fuel in Oregon ? For heaven's sakes, why? Doesn't it add to the price? I don't even know of any places here in Houston where u don't pump your own gas/diesel. Allison |

Except in Oregon , where it’s illegal, I pump my own fuel. When I travel, I almost always stop at truck stops (access is easier with the trailer) so diesel is more common than gas.
On the other hand, your story does bring a new meaning to ‘dump’ truck. :-}

From: Victor Healey Wait until you deal with the cost of repairs when someone mistakenly pumps gas into that truck instead of diesel It happens more often then you would think.
The only thing worse was the guy who had one of those port-a potty pumpers hooked up to his engine where he used the intake vacuum to suck liquid and solids out of rental John's down in Florida.
Someone pumped the tank full and actually sucked all that fecal material into the engine where it was promptly compressed in every way imaginable.
Towed to some hapless dealer for repairs that truck sat in the Florida heat smelling ranker and ranker by the day.
Sign on that truck said, "Need a John, Get it Quick, call Johnny Kwik."
