Notes:		On this date in 2008 a Sikorski S61 crashed and burned near Junction City, CA killing 9 of the 14 people aboard. Two pilots, one USFS and one private as well as 7 members of a Grayback Forestry private firefighting crew were killed. This occurred during a firefighter ferrying operation against the Iron Complex and the Buckhorn Fire in particular. The fire ultimately consumed 86,000 acres over many weeks.
