Pfeiffer CA-LPF-003810  Wildland, Monterey County Highway 1 at Pfeiffer Ridge Road, 4 miles south of Big Sur fire has burned 917 acres and is 79% contained Central Coast Team 7, IC (Nunez) in command of the fire. 200 homes, 20 commercial properties and 20 outbuildings remain threatened with 22 structures destroyed. Mop up along Hwy 1 causing hazards due to the combination of public traffic and firefighting crews working along the roadside. Crews made good progress mopping up and strengthening lines. Scattered rain was received over fire area this morning. A repopulation plan is being developed today. The demob process started yesterday for excess resources but they were not released until rested. Personnel numbers will reflect this later today.
