Mudslide shuts down PCH near Point Mugu Rock
The California Highway Patrol shut down Pacific Coast Highway near Point Mugu Rock due to a mudslide on Sunday, March 1, 2015.

MALIBU, Calif. (KABC) --
A mudslide near Point Mugu Rock has shut down both lanes of Pacific Coast Highway Sunday morning.California Highway Patrol received a call around 4 a.m. regarding a mudslide between Las Posas and Deer Creek roads.
It's unclear how long the closure will last. No further information was immediately available.
On Friday, authorities had reopened the final three miles of a nine-mile stretch of PCH north of Malibu that had been inundated with mud and rocks during December storms. In addition, high surf washed away slopes below some parts of the highway.
