Prom pictures are in, come by the activities office at lunch to pick up your pictures.
This week is "Nacho Friday!" Operation Smile will be selling Nachos, Friday after school for just $1.50 outside the Ring of Fire. Get delicious nachos AND help change a child's smile!
Teachers and Staff: This week is Senior Project Week. Seniors will be presenting during their Social Studies or English class. Stop by G107 or G108 any period to see some great student work.
National Honor Society will be having a meeting for all those being inducted into NHS on Thursday at lunch in A207. Please be there so we can go over the induction ceremony.
NHS Members: Remember that our annual Induction ceremony for students and parents will be Tuesday, April 19th, in the PAC at 7pm. All NHS incoming Sophomores, Juniors and graduating Seniors are invited to bring their families. Students should plan to arrive by 6:45 so we can line up for the grand entrance. There will be a guest speaker who looks and sounds a lot like Mr. Ben Brown, a musical number by Ms. Clark and the choir, and a message from Ms. Garcia, all followed by refreshments. Graduating seniors will be recognized for their accomplishments as well. If you have questions, see Ms. Jones or Ms. Torres.
SENIORS:The tiles for our senior gift are ready to be signed. Please stop by the book room at lunch some time THIS week and sign your tile. We want to make sure all seniors get their name in the mosaic, so make sure to stop by and sign yours!
Also, SENIORS: It is time to buy your ticket for the senior picnic. They will go on sale today in Activities at lunch. Cost is only $10 and includes dinner from Rudy's, your senior class t-shirt and some fun games at the picnic, so stop by and purchase your ticket today.
Athletics:
Future Volcano Vista High School Cheerleaders...it's that time of year! If you want to be a varsity or junior varsity cheerleader next year, clinic starts Friday, April 15 at 2:45 in the auxiliary gym--come learn your tryout cheer and dance! Tryouts are only open to current 9th through 11th grade students. Monday, April 18th at 2:45 will be a review for tryouts, and also the tumbling and stunting audition in the auxiliary gym, and the actual tryouts will be held on Tuesday, April 19th starting at 3 p.m. For applications and more information, go to the athletics link, click on the cheer website, & scroll down the page...if you still need more information, see Coach Nord! You must get a physical or have a current physical in order to tryout--all physicals for the team must be dated after April 1st of 2011.
