| Notes: | In the wee hours of this morning in 1992 a powerful M7.3 earthquake rocked Southern California epicentered in San Bernardino County's Mojave Desert region. Three people died as a result of this quake and 400 were injured. Damage was heavy to what little was located in the lightly-populated epicentral region but overall loses were low. The quake extended of the fault rupture that began with the Joshua Tree Quake of two months earlier and involved five faults that ruptured for over 50 miles. | |
