Location of incident: Jenks Lake, Hwy 38, Barton Flats area

FRA

31,359 acres, 90% Contained.There was no perimeter growth.

A Type 3 organization (J. Winbigler-IC) assumed command at 0600 this morning.

 

Woody Complex CA-KRN-23976 vegetation fire, Kern County.

Location: S. Granite Rd. x Round Mountain Rd., 5 miles South of Community of Woody, Kern County
SRA

4 fires along the roadway, Trailer, Granite, Stockton and Oak Incidents

Combined acreage 224, 50% contained

Lightning activity was experienced in the Sierras, San Bernardino Mountains, and eastern desert areas accompanied with some scattered rain.Cumulus buildups were still present over local mountain areas as of 1830 hours.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will form over the Sierra and over the mountains and deserts of Southern California east of the Cajon Pass this afternoon.  Afternoon showers and thunderstorms will become isolated across Southern California east of the I-15 corridor Monday and end by Tuesday.  However, scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms will continue over the Sierra Monday and Tuesday.  There will be a threat of showers and thunderstorms across much of Central California Wednesday afternoon through Thursday evening. Temperatures will be near to a little below normal through Tuesday and then become well below normal Wednesday through the end of this week.

Fire behavior was minimal overnight with some smoldering within the perimeter. There was no perimeter growth.

A Type 3 organization (J. Winbigler-IC) will assume command of the Lake Fire this morning at 0600.

California Interagency Incident Management Team 5 (Minton)

remains in command of the Lake fire.

Individual hot spot locations have been identified where

monitoring will be a continued

need due to inaccessibility and seasonality of conditions.

A transition meeting with the incoming Type 3 organization is scheduled for today. The Type 3 organization will assume command of the Lake Fire at 0600 on Sunday, July 5 2015. A tentative closeout meeting is scheduled for Monday July 6th at the San Bernardino National Forest Supervisors office.

California Interagency Incident Management Team 5 (Minton)

is in command of the Lake fire.

A transition meeting with the incoming Type 3 organization is scheduled for 0900 hours, tomorrow, July 4, 2015. The Type 3 organization will assume command of the Lake Fire at 0600 on Sunday, July 5 2015

A tentative closeout meeting is scheduled for Monday July 6th at the San Bernardino National Forest

South Ops (CAL FIRE, Department of Interior, US Forest Service, and California Governor�s Office of Emergency Services) will reduce the Preparedness Level from PL 3 to PL 2, effective at 1400 hrs. on 3 July 2015. (Specifics on PL levels found in California Interagency Mobilization Guide Chapter 10)

Firefighters continue to construct fire line where it is feasible and safe to do so.

remains in command of the Lake fire and is in Unified Command

Threats from the incident continue to diminish with today's rain

and as containment increases.
