This morning this fire was at 80% containment with just under 7000 acres burned... it seemed like a done deal waiting for more money to be poured onto it before it was finally done. However, a wind shift has blown it out of control on the west side and it is running amok with evacuations in place on the Mix Canyon part of the fire. The fire rapidly spread primarily eastward and down into the western margins of the Sacramento Valley.
As of 11:30 p.m. tonight it has scorched a guesstimated 5,000 acres with minimal containment (5%).
