[californiadisasters] Wragg Fire [was McClellan Air Tanker Base is open!]

Assessment of Wragg Fire from Airtankers Group:

"Here is some info on the fire.    Fire was a result of a vehicle accident on highway 128 near Wragg Canyon Rd.   The fire quickly spread in the windy conditions and has burned up and over Vaca Mtn and has burned into many of the steep canyons making containment very difficult.  Fire is located South of Lake Berryessa and is burning East Northeast.  Ash from the fire has been reported falling as far East as Davis Ca, 150 homes remain threatened.   Pioneer Camp and Canyon Creek Resort have been evacuated (precautionary). Air tankers that have been reported on the fire are:  Bae-146 #12, DC-7 #60 and DC-10 #912.  Reload was initially Chico for Tankers #12 and #60 but that has since been moved to McClellan Field.  There are also eight(8) S-2's on the fire. The S-2's are reloading out of Santa Rosa,CA.  #85,#86,#90,#91,#93 should be working the fire, could not get confirmation on the S-2's."
