[Volcano_Vista_HS] VVHS Announcements--Thursday, October 1, 2015

Bowling: Coach for the bowling team will be in room F105 during lunch today to sign up those interested in joining the bowling team.  Bowling practices start Tuesday October 6, 2015.

The Art Club and National Art Honor Society will meet in Room G113 on Friday at lunch. New members are welcome to attend.

This week is Ally Week. What is Ally Week, you ask? Every year, the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network and students across the country, often as members of Gay-Straight Alliances (GSAs) or similar student clubs, celebrate Ally Week. Here at VVHS we are focusing this week on educating our school community on ways to be better allies.

During lunch, come to the A hall or F hall and create an Ally sign. We are trying to fill the wall outside A120 with Ally signs...we have a great start, but can always use more signs and more allies.

The Volcano Vista Drama Department presents Arthur Miller's The Crucible, a classic play about the Salem Witch Trials, on October 1, 2, and 3. Performances are at 7PM, with a matinee at 2pm on October 3. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students, and $1 for active Thespians.

Do you want to be an actor?  Dreamworks Television and Awesomness TV are looking for 16-18 year old high school kids to be background extras in movie called Tagged. If you are interested in being in the film contact Robert Baxter Casting @ gmail com.
