I don't know which hospital he was at...I'd have to see that same shot of the pancaked building to know.  Haven't found it yet.  Will ask my brother, see if he knows which hospital...

I was actually in this quake, at about 3 years of age.  My dad was an ER doctor, scheduled to work that morning, and he was late, eating breakfast at warp speed.  Thank God, because the hospital had pancaked right on top of the ER and ambulance bays.  But for that tardy breakfast, he'd have been smooshed.

I don't remember much about it, but seem to recall being on the countertop and seeing the knife rack and cupboard doors waving around.

Interesting, yes.  Something I'd like to repeat?  Nah.  Thanks, but...nah. ;)
