Did you hear that the HAWK BAND members are selling "heart attacks" today at lunch? What is a "heart attack" you say? Well, the Hawk band will secretly surprise that special friend, teacher or special someone by plastering their locker with paper hearts. Let those around you know how awesome you think they are! Make their locker neighbors jealous. It can be anonymous or not. See a Hawk band member at lunch today by the Lava pit or H Hall and place your order for a "heart attack"today and they will be delivered next Friday. Don't forget the locker number so the band will know who to deliver it too.
LITERARY MAGAZINE: needs your submissions. Submit poems, short stories, and original artwork to by February 8th.

ATHLETICS
GIRLS BASKETBALL: girls play Cibola tonight in the Ring of Fire.
We are planning on blacking out the gym. All students need to meet in the south gym hallway by 6:45. We will have spirit gear for you. We will be introducing our second annual Winterball Court during halftime.Boys BASKETBALL: will play at Cibola tonight at 7
WRESTLING: The Dirty Birds have a match Saturday at Sandia High School beginning at 10am.
Swimming: has a meet Saturday at Rio Rancho Pool at 10am
GIRLS TENNIS: tryouts will begin Monday at Vista Courts. Tryouts will be 3:30 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, Feb. 12. Be there to claim your spot on the Varsity and JV team. Please see Coach Roybal or Coach Kappus for more information
TRACK AND FIELD will begin official practices on Feb. 11th. It is not too late to join our teams. See Coach Schrader in H108 if you have questions.
BOYS' TENNIS tryouts begin February 8th, we will be meeting on the VVHS tennis courts promptly at 2:35 after school. To participate you need to complete and return your Physical form to Coach Roybal before the 1st day of tryouts. If you need more information please see Mr. Roybal in room H131.
