In Santa Ana Winds, freeways aren't effective fire breaks.
Thomas Fire jumped Highway 101/US 101 last night.
Creek Fire jumped 210 Freeway/Foothill Freeway yesterday.
RyeFire jumped Highway 5/Interstate 5 yesterday.
TubbsFire jumped Highway 101/US 101 in Santa Rosa as a result of Diablo Winds, the NorCal equivalent of Santa Ana Winds. Thomas Fire jumped Highway 101/US 101 last night.
Creek Fire jumped 210 Freeway/Foothill Freeway yesterday.
RyeFire jumped Highway 5/Interstate 5 yesterday.
