Hazardous Weather Awareness Week June 20-24, 2011
The National Weather Service offices in Nevada have declared June 20-24, 2011 Hazardous Weather Awareness Week. Each day, Monday through Friday, a different severe weather topic, local to the area, will be highlighted. Below are the severe weather topics selected for each given day. Click on the topics to learn about the threat, safety procedures, and the science behind them.
Monday:	Severe Thunderstorms and Lightning Safety
Tuesday:	Wildfire and Heat Waves
Wednesday:	Dust Storms and NOAA Weather Radio
Thursday:	Boater Safety
Friday:	Flash Floods
