2008: A strong dust devil developed in Montclair, causing damage to several large tents at Montara Elementary School.
14 were injured.

2004: San Francisco International Airport had a high of 90° F.

2004: Record highs for April were set.
On this day it was 103° F at the Wild Animal Park and 100° F at Yorba Linda.
On 4.27 it was 85° F at Idyllwild.

1994: A funnel cloud was sighted over Las Vegas, NV.

1994:
Strong thunderstorms over the south end of the San Joaquin Valley spawned three funnel clouds in a 30-minute period near Bakersfield.

1994: A strong thunderstorm produced large hail up to 0.75" in diameter from San Dimas to Ontario.
A section of I-215 closed as a result.
A waterspout was observed 11 miles southwest of Camp Pendleton.

1987: The high temperature at Reno, NV, was 87° F.

1975:
San Luis Obispo set a new record low for the date with 29° F.

1967: An F1 tornado touched down about a quarter mile southwest of Madera and lasted on the ground for about 10 minutes where it damaged homes, barns and a school and overturned a car.
The funnel that later became this tornado was photographed by a Madera resident.

1955: 15" of snow fell at Tahoe City.

1926: Warmest low temperature ever in Fresno, 68° F.

1893: Latest freeze ever in Bakersfield, 32° F.
