Thank you for all your questions and your interest in ways to be involved with our Parent Advisory Group here at VVHS. Our goal is to support parents, staff and students to bring a closer relationship between home and school.
Currently, there are two ways that Parent Advisory can use your help.
First, we are in need of AQUAFINA bottled water donations (that's the only brand we are allowed to sell at school events) to sell at our September 26 Homecoming Dance at VVHS. We welcome donations anytime between now and Sept 26. (FYI…last year we had 360 bottles generously donated, and we sold out, so we are hoping to increase the donations this year). Here are a couple of options:
You or your student can drop off cases of Aquafina in the VVHS front office anytime. Please label with your name and "Parent Advisory"
You can reply to this e-mail to let us know how many you are planning to donate, and we can send a reminder as it gets closer. We will need to have an estimate of donations by September 22 in case we need to purchase any additional cases.
Second, VVHS Parent Advisory supports the Volcano Vista Staff with their Employee Recognition Program. Staff members nominate their peers for ways they feel they've gone "above and beyond," and 4 staff members per month receive $20 gift cards to restaurants around the city. We have already had generous donations from Jason's Deli, Fox's Pizza, Weck's and Rudy's. If you have ties to other local restaurants that would also be interested in donating $20 gift cards, please let us know!
