NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO INDICATE A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE HAIL...AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.THIS STORM WAS LOCATED NEAR LIVE OAK SPRINGS ON I-8... JUST SOUTH OF MOUNT LAGUNA... OR 23 MILES WEST OF OCOTILLO... AND WAS NEARLY STATIONARY WITH ADDITIONAL STORMS DEVELOPING TO THE NORTH TOWARDS MOUNT LAGUNA. FLASH FLOODING AND TORRENTIAL RAIN IS LIKELY... ALONG WITH QUARTER SIZE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS. THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL BE NEAR... MOUNT LAGUNA BY 105 PM PDT... PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... &&

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH...PREPARE IMMEDIATELY FOR DAMAGING WINDS... DESTRUCTIVE HAIL... AND DEADLY CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING. PEOPLE OUTSIDE SHOULD MOVE TO A SHELTER... PREFERABLY INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING BUT AWAY FROM WINDOWS. IF NEAR AREAS BETWEEN LAKE CUYAMACA TO LAKE MORENA COUNTY PARK GET OUT OF THE WATER AND MOVE INDOORS OR INSIDE A VEHICLE. REMEMBER... LIGHTNING CAN STRIKE OUT TO 15 MILES FROM THE PARENT THUNDERSTORM. IF YOU CAN HEAR THUNDER... YOU ARE CLOSE ENOUGH TO BE STRUCK BY LIGHTNING. MOVE TO SAFE SHELTER NOW.
