Also, Wakulla Springs is a good place to go in N. Florida. I went swimming in it and had to get out because I had vertigo. The water is so clear in one place that you can see the huge cave at the bottom, 200' down, as clear as standing on a building. I had the heebies. However, there is a great boat ride out into the swamp where there are loads of 'gators and snakes. Just don't hang your hands over the side. I loved it.

Speaking as a tourist - there is the very commercial Silver Springs right outside of Ocala with its glass-bottom boats. On the NW edge of the Orlando metropolitan area, there is Wekiva Springs State Park, not commercial, much smaller, but very nice, and with some nice walking trails, As I remember, you can take canoe trips there, also. At Wekiva, it you go in warm weather, you can swim.Kenneth Quinn----- Original Message -----Sent: Friday, March 15, 2013 3:50 PMSubject: Re: [Geology2] An Accurate Way of Predicting LandslidesOh I have never visited Florida...would love to do so. Where would the most interesting springs be? Allison
