Attention Class of 2014: There will be a meeting in Mrs. Wells room on Tuesday during lunch for everyone NOT selling prom tickets. Please attend, we have important stuff to discuss.
Prom is just around the corner on Saturday, April 6th at the ABQ Convention Center. Tickets will be sold to juniors and seniors only. You may bring a sophomore or freshman as your guest but each student is allowed to bring only one guest. Please have your current ID available when you purchase your ticket. Tickets go on sale today for $20.00 each. If you are bringing a guest that does not attend Volcano Vista please have the permission slip filled out prior to purchasing your ticket. Tickets will increase to $25.00 on Wednesday, April 3rd. Tickets are on sale during lunch in the Activities Office.
Ping-pong sign up is today thru Thursday, March 25-28 outside the activities office. The Tournament is April 1- 5 at lunch.
- Singles Tournament is $1 per entry.
- Doubles Tournament is $2 per team.
- Brackets will be posted at lunch on Monday, April 1 in the south mezzanine.
NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY:
- Election of next year's officers for NHS is scheduled for lunch in room E203 on today. Election results will be posted outside room E203. Sophomores and Juniors who returned membership applications are eligible to vote.
- All RSVP forms for our Induction dinner are due in room E203 by Thursday, March 28th. If you do not return your RSVP and any payment for guests who are planning to attend with you, you will not be able to have dinner with us that night.
- All money for NHS letters is due to room E203 by Thursday, March 28th.
- If you do not attend the Induction, you may pick up your certificates and letters in E203 on April 25th. Seniors with Honor Cords that do not attend the Induction will pick up Honor Cords with your cap and gown in May.
- Following NHS Elections on March 25th, our next meeting will be on April 1 in E 203 for Sophomores and H 209 for Juniors. Next year's officers will be conducting and will finalize the last block of tutoring assignments.
Art club members. Please stop by the art room Tuesday during lunch to pick up the Santa Fe Field Trip forms and also to have some fun decorating Easter eggs. Ms. Trigg has the decorations; all you need to bring is the hard boiled eggs. See ya there!
All student and faculty ambassadors, there will be a lunch meeting for all groups this Wednesday, March 27 at lunch in the lectures hall. Lunch will be provided.
Math NHS will not meet today to accommodate the NHS meeting, but Math NHS will meet Thursday at lunch in Ms. Conell's room. If you cannot attend on Thursday at lunch you need to come by Ms. Conell's room to verify your name's spelling for membership certificates.
Attention MESA members...please report to A-hall admin office at 11:20 today and the rest of the week. We are doing lunch clean up this week. We will have a return to class pass for all attendees.
Faculty/Staff and students, administrators will be coming by during 5th period this week to recognize students that received a 3.5 GPA or HIGHER for the 4th 6 week grading period. Close to 25% of the student body at VVHS had a 3.5 GPA or higher for the 4th 6 week grading period. Congratulations to all these students and the school challenges all of our students to strive for a 3.5 GPA or higher.
Buy a HAWK Wristband to help support the Alzheimer's Association this month! $2.00 each. In your Food Areas! Look for the students with Zebra striped containers.
Every year DECA teams with the Muscular Dystrophy Association in effort to send children who might not otherwise be able to go to camp to a summer camp designed just for them. Please help support our campaign by purchasing a shamrock from us during lunch. Your small donation of 1.00 will make a difference in a young child's life by helping them "make a muscle."

- On Wednesday, March 27th CNM is hosting a Dual Credit information session at the CNM Main Campus. Go to cnm.edu/backstagepass for more information.

ATHLETICS
- Attention all students interested in playing soccer, there will be a meeting this Thursday, March 28 during lunch in Lecture hall. Please plan to attend.
- The Lady Hawks softball team has a game here against Churchill High School at 4 on Tuesday.
