1997: A funnel cloud was reported two miles northwest of Lindbergh Field - San Diego.

1979: Five consecutive days of high temperatures at 90° F or higher at San Diego started on 6.9 and ended on this day, peaking with 101° F on 6.10.
Minimum temperatures were between 69° F and 72° F.

1955: A "tidal wave" of water swept into Las Vegas, NV, following a thunderstorm flooding out of much of the city and virtually isolating it.
Damages totaled $2.7 million at the time.

1933: Hanford recorded a high temperature of 110° F, the earliest such occurrence on record.

1918: The low temperature was 88° F in Victorville, the highest daily minimum temperature on record.

1916: Berkeley reported a low temperature of 41° F.
Downtown San Francisco reported a high temperature of only 54° F.

1907: Tamarack, CA, reached an overnight low of 2° F, establishing the coldest June temperature ever recorded in the U.S.
