Re: [californiadisasters] A Starry Night Aflame In The King's Glory

Who am I to comment?  I used 'keep', Olde English for a place of safety, a fortress.  :o)

Definition of TROW

1
obsolete :  believe
2
archaic :  think

Origin of TROW

Middle English, from Old English trēowan; akin to Old English trēowe faithful, true — more at true
First Known Use: before 12th century

It's a wonderful old word used in that way from the days of the King James version of the Bible... I hate the dumbing down of the English lexicon and am rebelling by trying to go the other direction and use more antiquated vocabulary to force people to Google them. BTW, the most beautiful-sounding written English to my eye's ear is the mid-19th Century writings of Civil War officers corresponding with their wives back home.
