"Fire is now over 92,000 acres, Crews have made very good progress on the Southwest flank of the fire as back burning and line building will soon be tied in. It is expected that these back burned fuels will raise the acreage totals for the fire to over 100,000 acres before all is said and done. On the Northern head of the fire crews were also successful in establishing line construction in some areas. Fire is now 40% contained and the 400 residents of Swansboro have been allowed back into their residents. Rain is expected over the fire area tonight or tomorrow but stronger winds will proceed the storm . Higher humidity levels should also slow the fires spread. No new updated information on Tanker activity."
