As far as I can tell, based on the LIMITED coverage by the news media (which all but ignores some fires) the one with the most potential for loss is the Washington fire in Alpine county. It has been tripling in size (or more) daily for the last three days.
The town of Markleeville is at risk as are other homes and communities in the area. I'll post the latest MODIS display shortly.
