from Tehachapi News:
At approximately
11:55 a.m. Wednesday, a dry lightening strike caused a
wildfire in the mountain range east of Tehachapi, and
southwest of the Old West Ranch.The fire has
consumed 5 acres so far, is heavy fueled and slow in
advancement, according to Kern County Fire Department. Two
helicopters and two air tankers have been called in to
assist.Heavy rain has
been reported in the Alpine area, including lightening
strikes.No word has yet
been received on possible structures in danger.Tehachapi News
will post more information and footage as it is
received.
