Debbie,
What is the water situation in NorCal.
I know your snow pack is great but what is the fuel moisture situation below the snow level and what are your liquid precipitation numbers as opposed to snow pack figures and how do they compare to "normal"?
In any case, even if you are ahead of the game right now you can quickly fall behind if you get too many dry days from here on out so don't trust too much in the rain you already have; a sub-par February-March could have you in drought-like conditions in fairly short order.

If we continue the "dry" spell until summer will our fire danger be more dangerous even though we have received the over-amounts of rainfall? I know it seems a silly question but the ground is pretty saturated here in Nor-cal.
