Dear volcano friends,

Erta Ale volcano in Ethiopia recently became very active as we found out on our last expedition, when we stayed on the volcano from 25-28 Nov. The lava lake in the south crater had largely filled up the crater with and overflows started to invade the caldera, completely reshaping the area.
