- Jason Elliott, Sophomore, Bass 2
Congratulations to Josh Trujillo and Tyler Gronseth for representing DECA at the Fall Career Technical Student Organization Conference. Tyler and Josh received 2 of only 15 trophies that were offered during the conference. The remaining 13 trophies were shared with the other high schools throughout NM, while Josh and Tyler brought back two to Volcano Vista.
Halloween Door Decorating Contest. Senate is sponsoring a Halloween Door decorating contest thru 5th period. The judging will begin on Monday the 29th during 5th period. The winner will receive a pizza party during lunch on the 31st. For more information and guidelines see your 5th period teacher.
Retakes for underclassmen pictures will be on Friday, October 26th. If you have not had your picture taken or you wish to retake your photos pleas stop by the activities office during lunch and sign up for a time.
Hey, Hawks! In the mood for a bone chilling tale that will leave your mind racing? Then come see Taking Flight Productions presents Euripides' Medea. Show dates are November 2nd and 3rd at 7:00 pm and tickets for students are just $6.00! Bring a friend or two and be awed by the talents of cast and crew such as Gabby Muller, Michael Enriquez, Delilah Bunda, and Katharina Gorcenkova
The Art Club will be collecting orders for carved pumpkins from 10/18 -10/26. We will carve a design of your choice and deliver it to you on Tuesday 10/30 during lunch. The cost is $10. If you would like a pumpkin, please contact your nearest art club member or see Ms Trigg in G112 and G113.
Friday is PINK Out Day- everyone wear pink. Our football team will be having their pink-out game on Saturday against Rio Rancho at Milne at 5pm.
ATHLETICS:
- C Team Football players need to turn in equipment on wed from 3-4 in the football office...see coach wallin for questions.
