that was touted on the Stephen Colbert show. I get a lot of my reading material here. Anyway, the author is Neil Shubin and the book is The Universe Within: Discovering the Common History of Rocks, Planets and People. I have not read this but according to the show, this guy is a professor at the University of Chicago and he says that we have a shared history with rocks. Interesting...I am not sure how he arrives at that theory but I guess the book  will illuminate. Allison
