An evacuation advisory has been issued for Idlewild, Taylors Lake, and Robinson Flat. A soft closure was placed on the Sawyers Bar Road between Etna Summit and Whites Gulch. |

08/08/2014 | 1800 | CA-LNF Eiler Fire: 32,048 acres, 45% contained. Increased temperatures and lower relative humidity has caused numerous unseen spot fires outside containment lines to start showing. |
08/08/2014 | 1800 | CA-KNF Beaver Fire: 18,864 acres, 20% contained. Inversion layer broke at 1500 hours causing significant increase in fire activity. Crews continue to work for containment on eastern portion of the fire. A new spot fire was discovered in Division T. Structure threat in Beaver Creek is in patrol status. |
