This is a very short video, not as deep as I would like to have seen. But it was filmed at the fire site that I passed last week, now winding down, that caught my attention.
If you like this, ask your local PBS (or news, but they cut things into 30 second snippets) station to send a videographer to do a more in depth production. It would be helpful to the lay person for background understanding of how/when large fires are managed.
A half hour should be PLENTY of air time to explain basic fire operations. PBS could even do a good job as time filler after one of their shows (have ten minutes to fill after an 'hour' show, often filled with gimmee money stuff).
