Junction CA-MMU- 014633 Madera County Location of incident: Hwy 49 and Junction, Oakhurst community Jurisdiction: SRA Cal Fire IMT 6 ( Estes). 612 acres, 95% contained. Command of the incident is tentatively planned to be transitioned back to the Madera-Mariposa Unit today. Significant demobilization of resources continues today. |

08/21/2014 | 1100 | Due to a reduction in incident activity and more favorable weather conditions in the California Southern Geographic Area/Region we will decrease our CWCG Preparedness Level from a Level 4 to a Level 3, effective 1000 hours today. |

8/21/2014 | 0745 | Way Fire, CA-CND-003148, Kern County Location: Wofford Heights and Hwy 155 Unified command and Kern County CIIMT5 (Joseph) USFS, BLM and Kern County FD (D.Brady) 4031 acres, 48% Contained. Repopulation in progress. Threat to community of Wofford Heights has significantly diminished. Commitment of Forest Service air and ground resources. Utilize air resources to check fire growth in inaccessible areas. Demob has begun today. Tentatively Kern County Fire will go out of unified command later this evening. Begin suppression repair in locations where containment has been achieved.
