THIS INCLUDES MANY OF THE CREEKS AND STREAMS ON THE FOOTHILLS WEST OF RENO... THROUGH THE WASHOE VALLEY... WEST OF CARSON CITY AND TAHOE BASIN. A NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE EMPLOYEE REPORTED 1 TO 2 INCHES OF WATER FLOWING OVER SOME PARTS OF THE MT ROSE HIGHWAY AROUND 4 PM. A FEW OF THE STREAMS AND DRAINAGES INCLUDE HUNTER CREEK...GALENA CREEK...WHITES CREEK AND INCLINE CREEK. STREAMS WILL APPROACH BANKFULL ON MANY OF THE STREAMS WEST OF HIGHWAY 395 AS WELL AS STREAMS IN THE TAHOE BASIN. A FEW STREAMS MAY EXCEED BANKFULL BEFORE PRECIPITATION TAPERS THIS EVENING. A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN REPORTED. STREAM RISES WILL BE SLOW AND FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED. HOWEVER... EVERYONE IS URGED TO STAY AWAY FROM CREEKS AND STREAMS AS THEIR FAST FLOW AND ELEVATED LEVELS WILL BE DANGEROUS. ROCK SLIDES AND DEBRIS ACROSS THE ROADWAY ARE POSSIBLE... INCLUDING I-80 WEST OF VERDI...MT ROSE HIGHWAY AND HIGHWAY 50 WEST OF CARSON CITY. A FLOOD WARNING MEANS FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. MOST FLOOD RELATED DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.
