NEVADA CA-PLACER CA-ALPINE CA-EL DORADO CA-WASHOE NV-DOUGLAS NV- CARSON CITY NV- THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RENO HAS ISSUED A * FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS IN... ALPINE COUNTY IN CENTRAL CALIFORNIA... THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF MARKLEEVILLE... NORTHEASTERN EL DORADO COUNTY IN CENTRAL CALIFORNIA... THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF SOUTH LAKE TAHOE... NORTHEASTERN NEVADA COUNTY IN CENTRAL CALIFORNIA... THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...PROSSER CREEK RESERVOIR...BOCA RESERVOIR... NORTHEASTERN PLACER COUNTY IN CENTRAL CALIFORNIA... THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...TAHOE CITY...SQUAW VALLEY...KINGS BEACH...ALPINE MEADOWS... EXTREME WEST CENTRAL CARSON CITY IN WESTERN NEVADA... EXTREME NORTHWESTERN DOUGLAS COUNTY IN WESTERN NEVADA... EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN WASHOE COUNTY IN WESTERN NEVADA... * UNTIL 830 PM PDT * AT 537 PM PDT RADAR SHOWED HEAVY RAIN OVER THE TAHOE BASIN  SOUTHWARD INTO ALPINE COUNTY. SURFACE REPORTS INDICATE AS MUCH AS 4 INCHES OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN AND AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 1.5 INCHES OF EXPECTED THROUGH 8 PM. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... &&

Instruction:
 A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN REPORTED. STREAM RISES WILL BE GRADUAL AND FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED.  HOWEVER EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE SOME CREEKS  AND STREAMS TO APPROACH OR EXCEED BANKFULL AND RESULT IN LOCALIZED  FLOODING PROBLEMS. COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF  CREEKS... STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLOODING. SIGNIFICANT RISES ARE EXPECTED ON ALL STREAMS AND DRAINAGES INCLUDING: INDEPENDENCE CREEK...LITTLE TRUCKEE RIVER...PROSSER  CREEK... TRUCKEE RIVER... MARTIS CREEK... DONNER CREEK... WEST MARTIS CREEK...TROUT CREEK...BRYANT CREEK...BIG MEADOW CREEK...RED LAKE  CREEK... MARKLEEVILLE CREEK... HOT SPRINGS CREEK... EAST FORK CARSON  RIVER... UPPER TRUCKEE RIVER... SQUAW CREEK... WARD CREEK... BLACKWOOD CREEK...MADDEN CREEK...MCKINNEY CREEK...GENERAL CREEK...MEEKS CREEK...SAGEHEN CREEK...SOUTH FORK PROSSER CREEK...TALLAC CREEK...ANGORA CREEK...TAYLOR CREEK AND HEAVENLY VALLEY CREEK. A FLOOD WARNING MEANS FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. MOST  FLOOD RELATED DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS  WATER COVERED BRIDGES... DIPS... OR LOW WATER CROSSINGS. NEVER TRY TO  CROSS A FLOWING STREAM... EVEN A SMALL ONE... ON FOOT. TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
