[californiadisasters] [EDIS] High Wind Warning - Eastern Sierra



A HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM PDT MONDAY. * TIMING: STRONG WINDS WILL AFFECT MONO COUNTY THROUGH EARLY MONDAY MORNING. WINDS SHOULD BEGIN TO DECREASE AFTER 10 PM THIS EVENING. * WINDS: SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS OF 20 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS 45 TO 60 MPH.  * GUSTS OF 60 TO 70 MPH WILL AFFECT WIND PRONE AREAS ALONG HIGHWAY 395 SUCH AS THE WALKER RIVER CANYON AND FROM BRIDGEPORT TO MAMMOTH LAKES. * SIERRA RIDGE WIND GUSTS UP TO 100 MPH ARE LIKELY. * IMPACTS: STRONG WINDS WILL IMPACT TRAVEL ON HIGHWAY 395...AND MAY DAMAGE TREES AND FENCES. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... DAMAGE TO TREES...POWER LINES AND PROPERTY IS LIKELY WITH WINDS OF THIS MAGNITUDE.DRIVING WILL BECOME HAZARDOUS FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION AND REMAIN ALERT FOR SUDDEN GUSTS OR CROSS WINDS. &&
