[californiadisasters] Re: 4 hillside homes red-tagged After San Clemente Slide

This reminds me of a story I heard at a geology conference shortly after the Landers earthquake. I can't vouch for it, but it had the ring of truth. Someone asked a county building inspector how he decided whether to red-tag or yellow-tag damaged homes out in the desert rupture zone. After describing the usual standards, he added "Sometimes it was the caliber of the gun pointed at me."
