CROWLEY LAKE...COLEVILLE AND TOPAZ LAKE. * UNTIL 500 PM PDT TUESDAY * FLOODING CONTINUES TO AFFECT CAMPGROUNDS...BACK COUNTRY ROADS AND HIKING TRAILS IN WESTERN MONO COUNTY. FLOODING HAS BEEN REPORTED ALONG DESERT CREEK AND THROUGHOUT DEADMAN CREEK CAMPGROUND. THERE IS PARTIAL FLOODING IN ALL CAMPGROUNDS THROUGH LEE VINING CANYON INCLUDING BIG BEND... ASPEN... MORAINE... AND LOWER LEE. IN ADDITION...MCGEE AND CONVICT CREEKS ARE CONSIDERED HAZARDOUS TO CROSS. * CREEKS AND STREAMS IN MONO COUNTY CONTINUE TO RUN NEAR OR AT BANKFULL AND THOSE IN THE BACK COUNTRY ARE VERY DANGEROUS TO CROSS. SNOW BRIDGES ACROSS STREAMS HAVE COLLAPSED DURING CROSSINGS AND PEOPLE HAVE FALLEN IN THE COLD...FAST MOVING WATER. * FOREST SERVICE ROAD 027 NEAR DESERT CREEK IS UNCROSSABLE WITH APPROXIMATELY 4 FEET OF WATER FLOWING ACROSS IT. MANY FOREST SERVICE ROADS IN WESTERN MONO COUNTY ARE EXPERIENCES WASHOUTS AND EXTREME CAUTION SHOULD BE EXERCISED. * WITH WARMING TEMPERATURES THIS WEEKEND AND INTO NEXT WEEK... CREEKS AND STREAMS WILL ONCE AGAIN RISE...INCREASING FLOODING CONCERNS THROUGHOUT THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... &&

* IF YOU ARE CAMPING NEAR A RIVER OR STREAM... REMEMBER THE HIGHEST WATER LEVELS USUALLY OCCUR AT NIGHT. A CAMPGROUND MAY LOOK DRY AND SAFE IN THE AFTERNOON...BUT MAY FLOOD AT NIGHT. A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN REPORTED. STREAM RISES WILL BE SLOW AND FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED. HOWEVER... ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHOULD TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND. FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE YOU ARE RELATIVE TO STREAMS... RIVERS...
