Administrators will be coming around this week before or at the end of classes to recognize students that received a 3.5 GPA or Higher this past 6 week grading period. Congratulations to the 30% of the students at VVHS that will be receiving one of these certificates. Keep up the good work and we challenge all students to achieve at this level.
Our Hawk Band will be participating in the Zia Band Festival at UNM on Saturday. They are scheduled to perform at 10:13. Everyone go out and support the Hawks.
Retakes for underclassmen pictures will be on October 26th. If you have not had your picture taken or you wish to retake your photos pleas stop by the activities office during lunch and sign up for a time.

- Monday wear Yellow for Skin Cancer Awareness or Black for Melanoma awareness.
- Thursday wear Green for stomach Cancer awareness or Purple for pancreatic cancer awareness.
- Friday is Breast Cancer Awareness- everyone wear pink.

- Varsity football plays Eldorado tonight at Wilson Stadium at 7pm. We will sit on the East side of the stadium.
Saturday:
- Girl's soccer will play at Rio Rancho at 4.
- Boy's soccer will play Rio Rancho here at 11.
