We will be on a long advisory schedule on Wednesday. Seniors meet in your advisory classroom and then your teacher will escort you over to the PAC.
Underclassmen pictures are in. Stop by the activities office during lunch to pick yours up.
Attention MESA members...Mr G will be giving a safety/power tool briefing Weds. afternoon after school...this should take about an hour...you must attend if you want to build your machines at school. See you there.
From the Hawks Bowling Coach, Perry Hampel. He would like to remind all those interested in the bowling team that practices start today and Friday this week. If you have not signed up you can still show up 3:45 at Tenpins and More in Rio Rancho. Coach Hampel is thrilled with the numbers showing interest but does extend this invitation for freshmen to come out and try it out.
Art Club members.....remember to bring your artwork and your club dues to the lunch time meeting in G113 today.
Students in Best Buds who volunteered to help out for community activities: There will be a short meeting during lunch on today in room E102.
There are a number of college visits this week, all between the E and F hall eateries during lunch.
- Tuesday, October 2nd is Northern Arizona University
- Wednesday, October 3rd is Prescott College
- Thursday, October 4th is Coe College.
VVHS will also host the regional College Fair on Friday, October 5th from 7:45 to 9:00 AM in the Library.
Friday is college day. Everyone be sure to wear your favorite college shirt on Friday.
JUNIORS! Do you want help paying for college? Do you want to stand apart from other applicants in the college admission process? Qualify for the National Merit Scholarship by taking the PSAT/NMSQT. You took the PSAT as 10th graders, sign up to take it again as a junior and you could qualify for the National Merit Scholarship. The cost is $15 payable to VVHS. See Mrs. Futey in E224 to sign up by October 5th.
