Initial Attack Activity was light in the GACC yesterday with 6 fires for 0 acres reported in the Daily Situation Report, (there may be a 24-hour delay in reporting on the SIT report).

By Thursday afternoon the next Pacific low pressure system will push cool humid air into coastal areas, along with scattered clouds and increasing S-SW winds.  Rain is possible in coastal areas by Thursday evening.  This system will spread inland Friday with rain possible in most of the North Ops region through Monday.  At this time Sunday appears to be the day with the most widespread moderate to heavy rain.  Rainfall totals by Monday may reach as high as 5-8 inches in far NW CA to 0.50-1.00 inches east of the Sierra crest and in the Southern Sacramento Valley.
