Light initial attack activity today. No large Fire activity reported                                                                         

In the last 6 hours there have been over 600+ lightning strikes with rain

behind detected over the Sierras and Mountains of Santa Barbara across

much of the High Deserts south to the U.S. Mexican border.

The Sierras have received less than ¼ inch of precipitation.

The GACC continues to experience scattered showers & thunderstorms that

may continue through Saturday night. In the last 24 hour period there have

been approximately 2000 strikes from San Diego County across the counties

of San Bernardino and Los Angeles, slightly less than half were centered over San Diego County.

Borrego Complex Borrego Springs, San Diego County.

Fire is 8-10 acres burning in steep rugged terrain limited access requiring Crews to be flown in by helicopter.
