[Volcano_Vista_HS] VVHS Announcements--Wednesday, October 20, 2010

Tomorrow at the end of the announcements we will be supporting the American Red Cross in their 60 Seconds of Giving campaign. It is very simple to save a person's life.

1.   Bring pocket change to class tomorrow

2.   Drop it in the paper bag Thursday during your 2nd period class

3.   Save a life!

The FIDM Fashion Club will be selling handmade and unique hair accessories and jewelry today at lunch at tables in front of the lecture hall across from the book room. Prices start at $2.00 and each piece is one of a kind. We also take custom orders!!

All Art Club members meeting in G113 during lunch today. Let's plan our pumpkin carving time and our field trip in November.

The  Volcano Vista Vanguard  will be  heading out to Las Cruces, New Mexico State University, to compete in  the Tour of Bands.  Bands from Tx and Az will be in Attendance.  The Band performs at 1:00PM!  Good Luck Volcano Vista Vanguard!

MESA Students

We will be constructing the large scale model rockets today and Wednesday in G203 after school.

Wednesday at lunch we will meet in the ROTC room for the small scale model rocket launch.  See you there.

Athletics:

• The girls soccer team plays Cleveland High School today here at 4:30. Come out and support the team in district play.
• The boys soccer team plays at Cleveland High School today at 4:30.
• Come help your Volcano Vista Volleyball team "Pack the Ring of Fire" this Thursday, October 21st for their big district game against Cibola. It will be a BLACK OUT so everyone should wear black. Game time is 6:30 PM.
• Attention girls: The 2011 track and field team will be having an informational meeting on Friday October 22, 2010.  It will be in the lecture room at lunch.  Come meet your new coach and get information about the season.  See you there!
• There will be a info meeting for students interested in trying out for the swim team on October 29th at West Mesa Aquatic Center @ 3:30, and try-outs will begin November 1st @ 3:30 at West Mesa Aquatic Center.
