Fire is in Single Command (INF) and is 100% FRA DPA

Fire has burned 100-150 acres of grass and was wind driven.

No estimated containment as yet.  Fire is burning away from the

Community of Starlight and no threat to structures.

Incident began on private property (DWP) within Federal DPA (Inyo NF)

Winds have died down. Ground resources are making good progress in line construction

Firefighters are cautiously optimistic in containment some time later this evening.

Incident is Unified Command with INF & CALFIRE

Fire now 75-100 acres of grass (FRA) ROS with fire spotting

FWX 82 °F Partly cloudy RH 24% Wind 15.0 mph from WSW Gust 22.0 mph

Preparing for some possible evacuations as there is a significant increase in population

Fire has burned 450 Acres of tall grass(2.5 feet) mixture with brush and is 25% contained

Fire burned approximately 100 acres of grass and is 100% contained.

Arroyo Grande, Fulton, Horseshoe and Kings River Hand crews

have been mobilized to Region 3 Southern California

(Los Angeles, San Bernardino Riverside and portions of San Diego Counties)

are receiving scattered showers with light amounts of precipitation and wetting rain.

Momyer incident 150 acres and is 90% contained.

The terrain still hampering containment efforts.

OSC (Sierra Crest & North) experienced approximately

150-200 lightning strikes in the last 24 hr period with some precipitation.

The fire is burning in bug killed timber and strong winds are

hampering air operations.  The terrain makes it very difficult to get to the fire.

A small fire burned between 3 and 6 acres grass and light flashy fuels

Thursday evening in La Habra Heights. The fire was reported at 7:17 p.m.

on Leucadia Road. No structures damaged.

should arrive on the Island around 0630 Tuesday.

County Line 12 miles SE of Shandon SRA Start Time: 1301 hours Fire burned

187 + acres in tall grass and is 100% contained.

Governor Brown Issues Proclamation Declaring "Wildfire Awareness Week"

SACRAMENTO - Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr. today issued a proclamation

declaring May 1-7, 2011, as "Wildfire Awareness Week" in the State of California.
