(979) 690-7562 (Office Fax)Well then whatever you call it when a cartridge gets heated in a fire and the powder in the casing ignites and the casing explodes sending out shrapnel and the bullet although going slower than it would if fired from a gun still goes somewhere.... in 1992 when the Scotia Hardware Store burned to the ground as a result of one of the big quakes there in April of that year they had to deal with the ammo in the store cooking off. Also, we had one such incident here locally in a house in rural Templeton in 1994 and another case more recently of a car with ammo cooking off... don't remember if that was here on the Central Coast or in SoCal somewhere. ;-p
