08/09/2014 | 0800 | CA-KNF Beaver Fire: 19,581 acres, 20% contained. The fire was active until 0230 this morning. Crews are working to contain a significant slopover on the eastern portion of the fire. New spot fires have been found in this area and in the southwestern portion of the fire. |
08/09/2014 | 0800 | CA-MEU Lodge Fire: 7,100 acres, 30% contained. Fire has spotted to the east side of Eel River, establishing itself in Hogshed Creek, and making a significant run. This resulted in the fire jumping containment lines on the eastern portion of the fire. |
08/09/2014 | 0800 | CA-KNF July Complex: 8,359 acres, 4% contained. Fire behavior was limited to slow rates of spread overnight. Rolling material continues to help in downhill spread on steep slopes. Seven miles of direct, indirect and contingency lines have been constructed. |
