The Telicate Incident began around 3 p.m. today according to the Hotlist while the fire to which you refer (Shoemaker Incident) started nearby a few days ago. 

You are so very right about how terribly steep it is - this will def be a big air show at a time we need those resources up north.

One of the problems is that the terrain is so steep they have to fight it from the air. This started yesterday. I was hoping it would get knocked down quickly. Sigh!
