CA-SHF Bagley Fire. 29,631 acres. 30% contained. Active fire behavior with runs in heavy timber and brush fuels with moderate rates of spread, torching, spotting and roll-out. Forest road closures remain in effect. IMT1 (McGowan) shadows today and takes command tomorrow at 0600.

CA-MNF North Pass. 32,675 acres. 38% contained. Active fire behavior with crown fire runs and short/intermediate range spotting. Structures threatened. Smoke impacts to commercial wineries. Smoke impacts to local communities

CA-PNF Chips Fire. 74,125 acres. 87% contained. Extensive burning of interior islands, no spots outside the lines at this time. Fire compromised power lines that feed Quincy. PG&E crews are working to restore power. Mandatory Evacuation of the communities of Canyon Dam, Big Meadows and Seneca. Rush Crk Rd.from Hwy 70 is open to residents only.

CA-KNF Fort Complex Fire. 15,860 acres. 15% contained. The fire continues to approach Seiad Valley. An evacuation notice was implemented in Sceiad Valley. A Type 1 IMT has been ordered. The rollout of burrning materials on steep slopes and uphill runs continue to be control problems.

CA-NOD Rush Fire. 315,577 acres. 82% contained. Crews will continue to hold existing containment lines and mop up. Difficult terrain along the southern portion of the northeastern flank continues to hinder containment. An emergency closure of public lands being affected by the fire area in eastern Lassen County, California and Western Washoe County, Nevada remains in effect. Currently the fire is burning 271,911 acres in California and 43,666 acres in Nevada.

CA-TGU Ponderosa Fire. 27,676 acres. 96% contained. The Fire Weather Watch was upgraded to a Red Flag Warning for 1200 today through 0500 Wednesday with winds and low relative humidity. Hazard and fire weakened trees are present through out the fire area, which is a safety concern for fire fighters and the public. Two private bridges along Rock Creek Road were damaged by the fire.

CA-SHF Bagley Fire. 28,771 acres. 24% contained. The fire burned actively below the inversion with some spotting observed. Significant SW winds are predicted for today. IMT 1 (McGowan) will take command of the fire on 8/29 at 0600.

CA-KNF Fort Complex Fire. 13,883 acres. 25% contained. The fire continues to approach Seiad Valley. A 12 hour evacuation warning was issued on 8/27. The rollout of burrning materials on steep slopes and uphill runs continue to be control problems.

CA-PNF Chips Fire. 73,193 acres. 71% contained. Fire continued to burn within the containment lines with low relative humidity and poor humidity recovery. Fire behavior was moderate with slow rates of spread primarily in surface fuels. Mandatory Evacuation remain in effect for the communities of Canyon Dam, Big Meadows and Seneca, with an advisement for Prattville. Rush Creek Rd.from Hwy 70 is open to residents only

CA-NOD Rush Fire. 318,000 acres. 74% contained. Crews will continue to hold existing containment lines and mop up. Suppression repair will continue on contained divisions. Minimal fire behavior, with only creeping and smoldering, was observed.

CA-MNF North Pass. 35,270 acres. 32% contained. Fire activity moderatedon 8/27on Division Y and the fire is holding on Anthony Ridge. Areas to the east of Division C continue to burn actively to the north and northeast with actve fire behavior with short and intermediate range spotting. Structures near Round Valley Indian Reservation, Covelo, and Bauer Subdivision continue to be threatened.
