[californiadisasters] Re: Anniversary Reminder

My sister and her family survived this quake, their house was literally lifted off it's foundation and moved almost 4 feet over. They lived in a Fema trailer for more than a year. To this day she is terrified of quakes, but still lives in California. It was 2 days before we knew if they were safe. She said the lack of preparedness and forethought made things worse. To this day she has a bag by the door that has a months supply of prescription medicines and a small first aid kit and several sheets few pieces of clothing and duct tape. She said duct tape and sheets make a great tent and if it fell on you no problem. She has a few other things in there too it is bigger than a bread box! She left Coalinga and now lives in Southern California.....hmmmm! I think that is a more vulnerable region, but who knows. Always be prepared!
