2008: Santa Ana winds blew from 11.15 to 11.19.
Winds gusted over 70 mph in the Santa Ana Mountains and over 60 mph in the northern Inland Empire.
The Freeway Complex Fire burned from Corona through Chino Hills and Yorba Linda.
This fire destroyed or damaged over 300 homes and four businesses.
More than 30,000 acres burned and more than 40,000 evacuated.
1994: 15" of snow fell at Tahoe City.
1991: A mountain wave touches down at Mojave with winds estimated at 100 mph.
1987: Santa Ana winds buffeted the mountains and valleys (Southern California).
1986: An early season storm that started on 11.17 and ended on this day brought 1.16" of rain to San Diego, more rain that falls in a normal entire November.
Other totals: Montgomery Field 1.49", 1.21 inches at Mt. Laguna, 1.07" at Miramar, 1.03" in Oceanside and 0.41" in Chula Vista.
Numerous traffic accidents and a few power outages resulted.
The San Diego River flooded causing many road closures in Mission Valley.
Street flooding occurred in North Park, Midway, and in Encinitas.
A mudslide blocked Malibu Canyon road.
A traffic accident claimed two lives in LA.
1975: Reno, NV had a morning low of 8°.
1967: A moist subtropical storm that started on this day ended on 11.21.
14+ inches of precipitation fell in the mountains above LA, 7.96" fell in LA.
Flooding was called the "worst since 1934."
Two were killed.
Flash flooding and mud slides resulted.
400 were stranded in the mountains due to closed highways.
1964: 22" of snow fell in Big Bear Lake and 9.5" of snow fell in Victorville, each the greatest daily snowfall on record for November.
1950: Three day heavy rain event from the 17th through the 19th in the Sierra brought more than 15" of rain to some areas as high as 5500 feet and heavy rain as high as 10,000 feet, which melted snowpack resulting in historic flooding.
Hardest hit were Merced, Chowchilla, Centerville, Visalia, Porterville, Oildale, Isabella and Kernville.
Damage was estimated at 12 million dollars at the time and a few lives were lost.
